CANDLE CARE

The first time you light your candle allow it to burn long enough so that the wax melts to the edge of the jar.

Before relighting the candle, the wick needs to be trimmed in order to remove the burnt mushroom shaped head. This will give you a clean, smoke free burn.

Place your candle on a steady fire resistance surface, away from children, pets, drafts or things that can easily be caught on fire. Make sure to blow out your candle before leaving the room!

Never burn your candle for more than 4hrs at a time.

Do not leave your candle unattended or in reach of children or pets.

WICK TRIMMING

The best way to keep a candle wick fresh is to trim it.

By keeping the candle wick trimmed, you will undoubtedly extend the life of the candle. Trimming a candle wick is the first thing you should do for a new candle and every time before you light it.

The wick should be trimmed to around 5mm in length.

Keeping your wick properly trimmed will prevent your candle from smoking and getting burnt rings around the jar.

TUNNELING

Have you ever had your candle burn straight down the middle? Here’s how to avoid it and get the most out of your candle every time.

The most common reason for a candle tunnelling is due to burning a candle incorrectly.

You should let the candle burn long enough (normally a few hours) in each burn to create a wax pool to the edge of the jar.

Your candle has a memory, so if you don't melt the wax to the edge on your first burn, the candle will tunnel its entire life. The first burn is very important and you should strive for that even burn every time. This will avoid your candle tunneling and your candle will live a long and happy life.
